Personal support is at the heart of our
fasting retreats

How we organise the retreat

Having your first detox or fasting experience in a group, under the supervision of 2 experienced health care practitioners is undeniably a comfort and security that ensures you get the most out of your fasting practice - both for the body and the mind.

Gabby & Corinne offer you a chance to experience the lifelong benefits of detoxing and fasting in a controlled, safe and natural environment – certainly a life-changing experience for many.

During the week various presentation workshops will be offered:

  • Your organs of detoxification and the various ways to stimulate and support them throughout the retreat.

  • What symptoms to expect and how to manage them?

  • Purging - why/when/how. We recommend doing a purge before the start of the retreat to empty the gut and colon in order to lessen the detox symptoms that may appear on day 2 or 3 such as headaches, hunger, nausea, etc.

  • Moderate physical activities (daily guided nature walks, gentle body stretches, body wakening etc.).

  • Relaxation, meditation and mindfulness exercises & tips through breathing and visualisation (learning to spend time with yourself and to re-discover what your own body and mind requires).

  • Coaching on optimal well-being, micro and macro-nutrients that make up the foods we eat, general nutrition, lifestyle tips, etc.

Corinne, a nutritional therapist and fasting coach, is specifically trained to help you support and manage your body as it detoxifies and eliminates the pollutants built up over time.

During the week, she will run various workshops on nutrition, blood sugar control, detoxification symptoms, how to read & interpret food labels, healthy living etc. She will interpret and explain the signs and symptoms your body will experience during this major deep cleansing and she will reassure, accompany and advise you every step of the way.

Gabby, a nurse and phlebotomist with 30-plus years of practice, is specifically trained to help you support and manage your emotions if they arise during your fast.

She has experience in running presentations seminars in the area of emotional and nutritional health. During the week, she will do talks on the benefits of meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and stress management as well as discuss the best foods for the best moods. Gabby will also look after all your testing requirements (food intolerance, gut health, bloods etc.).
