The Fast Way to Detox offers you 3 options depending on your state of wellbeing.

A “Buchinger” Type Fast

The Buchinger Type Fast is defined as a liquid fast composed solely of organic drinks: herbal teas, water, 250 ml of fresh organic fruit & vegetable juice and 250 ml of vegetable broth. There is no solid food, except on the last day of the retreat where we prepare a re-eating meal together during a cooking workshop. Following the principles of Dr Lützner and Dr Buchinger, these are effective adjuvants to the weight loss and well-being program as they promote energy for elimination while providing a minimum of vitamins and minerals to alkalize and avoid demineralization.

With the Buchinger Type Fast, you voluntarily give up food coming from outside to live a certain time off your reserves and in particular your fat reserves.

The Mono Diet Detox

The Mono-Diet Detox is defined as a diet composed only of one solid food (generally fruit or vegetable based). Very popular in recent years, the mono diet is much more than a fad. It is a specific diet which, when done well, can allow you to gain digestive well-being but also overall well-being because it is more gentle on your body than a “Buchinger” type fast.

The principle of digestion is simple: when you ingest food, each element is broken down to its simplest version of nutrients in order to be absorbed by the small intestine. This work is done by enzymes: hyper-specialized proteins. Each enzyme can only work on the molecule to which it is dedicated. When you eat only one food, the vast majority of enzymes are therefore at rest, leaving only those dedicated to the molecules contained in the food you are eating. This diet allows for the entire digestive system to reduce its workload yet it will still permit some form of detoxification since the digestive system will only be dealing with 1 type of food.

We like apples as they are low in sugar, and rich in pectins and antioxidants. This makes them interesting in terms of hepatic purification. They are also low in calories and they contain fibre that literally acts as a “broom” in your intestines. They will be served raw and/or cooked x 3 meals, with herbal teas, water, and vegetable broth.

The ‘Juicing & Souping’ Cleanse

The Juicing and Souping Cleanse is, as the name suggests, a 5-Day detox that includes a nutritious freshly extracted organic juice for breakfast and lunch and a hot organic soup rich in fibre and plant-based protein in the evening.

This cleanse is perfect for those who are not ready to fast and need a little more substance. You will still get the benefits of detoxing your body, lose some weight and improve your gut and overall health.

Our juices and soups will provide you with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other hypo-toxic nutrients that will boost your immune system, digestion and energy levels.

1 week of Buchinger type fast = 3 weeks of mono diet or 3 months of dieting!

One must adapt one’s detox according to one’s individual requirements!

If you are feeling anxious or exhausted, the Juicing & Souping Retreat may be a better detox option than the Buchinger-type fast. It is crucial to pay attention to your body and mind.
